General Questions on Career

Q. I have only been working with my current company for a couple of years; do you think it will look bad if I change my job again so soon?
A. The general rule is you should stay for at least two years before changing jobs.  If your resume is filled with numerous jobs of less than two years  duration then that is a clear signal to any future employers that you are a “job hopper” and are likely to do the same to them. That said there is no sense staying in a job that could damage your career and there are good reasons to look for a new job sooner such as not being sufficiently challenged, lacking career growth opportunities, or ineffectual leadership in your current company. It is also true that younger people move jobs more frequently than workforce veterans.

Q. Considering I only have limited experience in my area of interest, is it still possible to find a job?
A. Relevant experience is often a key requirement when changing jobs unless you are applying for an entry-level position.

 Q. What is the best company to work for?
A. It is a very personal question.  At Legal Futures we work with a broad range of clients, both domestic and foreign owned and with many different company sizes and working cultures, so we are sure that we can find the position that suits you.

Q. Do all jobs listed on your website require some English skill?
A. Not necessarily although the majority do require at least conversational English and many will require fluency, both spoken and written.
